The Chocolate Covered Orange Cocktail

Even though my chocolate covered orange peels were kind of a bust, I still had to try to find a way to get some choco-orange in my life.

Liz mentioned the whack-a-orange balls that look like this:

So, I knew that someone else had an attachment to the flavor, and I wasn’t nuts.

Here’s the same flavor, transported to a nice, easy-to-drink chocolate covered orange cocktail.  Not too sweet and not too fruity, it’s actually nice and refreshing!

The Chocolate-Covered Orange Cocktail

  • 2 tbsp chocolate syrup
  • 2 oz orange vodka
  • 1 oz creme de cacao (doesn’t matter white or brown, white will just be prettier)
  • 1 oz milk
  • ice
  1. In a small glass, pour your chocolate syrup.  Tilt the glass and rotate, coating the inside of the glass.
  2. Add your ice cube (s).
  3. Layer your ingredients– start with the vodka, then the creme de cacao, then your milk.
  4. GENTLY stir the ingredients together.  I used a vintage swizzle stick from the Stardust Hotel & Casino.  Thanks, Grandpa.
  5. Enjoy. Chocolate Covered Orange Cocktail

And you get a happy, swirly Chocolate Covered Orange Cocktail! Happy Friday!
