Even though my chocolate covered orange peels were kind of a bust, I still had to try to find a way to get some choco-orange in my life.
Liz mentioned the whack-a-orange balls that look like this:
So, I knew that someone else had an attachment to the flavor, and I wasn’t nuts.
Here’s the same flavor, transported to a nice, easy-to-drink chocolate covered orange cocktail. Not too sweet and not too fruity, it’s actually nice and refreshing!
The Chocolate-Covered Orange Cocktail
- 2 tbsp chocolate syrup
- 2 oz orange vodka
- 1 oz creme de cacao (doesn’t matter white or brown, white will just be prettier)
- 1 oz milk
- In a small glass, pour your chocolate syrup. Tilt the glass and rotate, coating the inside of the glass.
- Add your ice cube (s).
- Layer your ingredients– start with the vodka, then the creme de cacao, then your milk.
- GENTLY stir the ingredients together. I used a vintage swizzle stick from the Stardust Hotel & Casino. Thanks, Grandpa.
And you get a happy, swirly Chocolate Covered Orange Cocktail! Happy Friday!
