A bit later this month, I’m hosting my first Holiday party in the house David and I bought last year. So in addition stocking up on wine, it’s time to plan appetizers!
The folks over at Stella Cheese have got this dilemma covered. Their line literally includes sixteen different cheese varieties, in queso emergency of any kind (cheesey puns!).
Now, all cheeses are grate, but there’s a star of this particular dip:
Maybe it’s because I’m very Italian, but parmesan has the most comforting flavor in the world. Tangy and salty, it makes everything it touches delicious.
I made an awesome recipe called the Almond Parmesan Dip.
- 6 ounces cream cheese
- 2 ounces mascarpone
- 1 cup grated parmesan
- 3/4 cup almonds
- 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1/8 tsp nutmeg
- pinch of salt
Basically, mush all the ingredients together, put into a baking dish, and then bake at 375* for 25-30 minutes, or until everything is brown and bubbly. Your house will smell AMAZING. And the prep is super easy and takes less than two minutes.
Now, of course, when you’re eating anything with parmesan dip, you have to do the String Test:
Passes with flying colors!
As always, you can learn more about Stella cheese at their website.
