Saturday To Dos

Hey, everybody!

Today is starting off fun.  I just booked tickets for a weekend trip to Napa!

It’s technically for work, so my half of the airfare PLUS our rental car (should/will) be reimbursed.  We’re just out the $250 for David’s tickets.  Very exciting!

We’re going to be getting in early enough to enjoy dinner and some sites in St. Helena, and then leave late enough on Sunday to sleep off our wicked wine-tasting hangovers Sunday :-)

I do love farmland, especially when that farmland grows WINE! (err, grapes, but eventually wine)

From our trip to Santa Barbara with friends, to celebrate our engagement.

We’re also taking care of this little bugger again this weekend:

So it’s a full house.

Throw in a few friend dinners, with Zoe and maybe my friend Sheldon from home, and it’s going to be a busy, busy few days.

But I know I have to bake something, too.  Maybe some truffles?

  1. I can’t wait to hear all about it! Napa is a place I would absolutely adore to visit. I loved watching Micahel Chiarello was he was on Food Network so that’s as close as I’ve gotten. Eat, drink and be merry! I look forward to your posts.

  2. he’s a persistent little nugget– follows me EVERYWHERE. which would be cute if i didn’t already have two pups on my heels every day.

  3. i’m looking forward to Napa. i’m a little worried that people that take wine a weeeee bit too seriously head up there, but if it’s actually laid back? heaven on earth!

  4. Oh I am SO jealous!! We’re about an hour away from Napa and never get to go there enough. It’s absolutely beautiful and this time of year it’s incredible!! A great winery to visit or have a picnic at (it has a full deli inside) is V Sattui. The wine is delicious but I’m almost more in love with the grounds :)
