It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
Ok, I’ll admit– it’s actually about two weeks *before* the most wonderful time of the year. David has made me promise that I won’t start decorating or playing Christmas music until the day after Thanksgiving. This is super hard, kittens. I don’t know what to do.
But that doesn’t mean I haven’t started my Christmas game plan yet. Naturally, I’ve started writing about holiday wine already, and re-reading last year’s post about stocking a holiday bar. For 2014, I have already started picking up a few decor essentials. They’re arriving this week!
I’ve also started thinking Gift Guide. Gorgeous candles, food, charity donations and experiences are always big on my list, but you have to get goofy every now and then. And what about people who you want to give gifts to, but budget needs you to stick small?
Personally, I’m obsessed with the CorningWare 20oz Red Mug. You all know how much I love CorningWare products. The tomato color for this mug is Merry and Bright (see what I did there?) and everyone needs a new mug for toasty hot beverages this time of year.
20 ounces is a whole Venti from Starbucks, AND enough to hold a whole can of soup, too, so this is a great gift for a co-worker or someone who works at your kids’ school. The vented lid prevents microwave splatter, AND the sucker doesn’t drip! The MSRP is $9.99, and I’d recommend filling it with some gourmet hot cocoa mix (or cocoa mix and a small bottle of peppermint schnapps, if it’s for a close close friend [wink wink]).
